MACE Montessori Nursery School

38-42 Millman St, London WC1N 3EW, UK – 020 7242 5842

Miss Chris-Jayne and her team at the nursery was nothing but professional and welcoming. I felt at ease allowing my son to participate in their classroom activities. The teachers were warm and welcoming, where I found the children interacting and having such a wonderful time. Clearly, a lot of hard work and thought in this bright and colourful nursery is carried out to ensure the best possible environment for our children to be nurtured at such a crucial learning age. I thoroughly recommend to all!

Very happy with my sons progress at the nursery, the teachers have done a great job with him, he is very independent, well behaved and very sociable since he started the nursery. I am very appreciative to the teachers for the progress he has shown. When I pick him up at 6pm I can see he has had a great playful day as when we go home all he wants to do is rest and sleep. Highly recommend it.

Little Ones (UK) Ltd

3 Hanson St, Fitzrovia, London W1W 6TB, UK – 020 7183 0309

The agency was really good in organizing me a successful interview with a lovely family around the corner form my house, right in the first week after I applied. I am working with this family now since two weeks and am in love with the boys. I can really recommend this agency and if you have Anna Derecka as your consultant you are very lucky. She is super nice and very helpful.

Really good agency. I worked with them twice, and each time they were really efficient in sending me really interesting work positions. The consultant are nice and polite and keep in touch with you almost daily. My consultant was Anais and in less than one month, she found me a really nice family who I am working with now. Don't hesitate to contact them. They also offer classes for really good prices.

City of London School for Girls

City of London School for Girls, St Giles Terrace, Barbican, London EC2Y 8BB, UK – 020 7847 5500

My daughter currently attends but has been very unwell with a long term condition. The way the staff have consistently "gone the extra mile" for her and us shows a level of care that is exceptional. As a parent that is the most important thing and I would happily recommend the school to anyone considering sending their daughter there.

City of London School for Girls is a non-denominational, independent day school, for girls aged 7 to 18, based in the London Square Mile. The School was established by the Corporation of the City of London with money from a bequest from William Ward of Brixton to provide education for girls that “would correspond, as near as may be, to the City of London School”. The school opened in Carmelite Street in 1894 and moved to the present premises in the Barbican in 1969.

Reay is a wonderful place for us kids to learn and have fun , the lessons are very interesting and educate us so that we are successful in the future. The teacher's are very kind and trusting. No matter who you are Reay will give you a warm welcome!

St Barnabas Primary School

St Barnabas St, Belgravia, London SW1W 8PF, UK – 020 7641 4232

I was at this primary school from 1986.Where I met the headteacher Mrs Green, she gave me £5.00 for school journey. She stole the money from school expenditure and declared I paid for it.She was later, after years gone by, sacked for stealing money from school. She was a likable lady and a role model at that time.I remember other teachers such as Miss Boots in Victoria class, she got engaged and showed us kids her wedding ring.Mr Henderson was the scariest teacher,he used to shout if we kids misbehaved like "HOW DARE YOU",he looked like a lion. And finally Mr pendentrenie he was very gentle and nice teacher.I also remember the school journey trip to Sayers Croft.Where are the pictures of the school playgrounds for kids?

I was at that school in the mid to late 70's, Just a shame there are no school photos from then.

City Lit

1-10 Keeley St, London WC2B 4BA, UK – 020 7831 7831

I have done classes in several London and Edinburgh ballet and dance schools/colleges/etc but the City Lit stands out for sheer professionalism. Teaching staff and students always engaging and friendly. A pure joy.

Hidden away from the main street, but very accessible. The inside is pleasant and inviting, with clearly marked directions to all the different classroom and facilities. They have a very wide range of courses in many categories, from dancing to languages, history, and science. I've only tried one so far (Charleston! It's so much fun!) so I wouldn't know about the overall quality, but if you just want to learn a new skill or subject, I think it's a great way to start.

Language Schools

EF International Language Centre - English courses in London

74 Roupell St, Lambeth, London SE1 8SS, UK – 020 7401 8399

The campus is incredibly beautiful. However, EF is a pretty pricy program and I felt like the London program wasn't worth the price (it could be if you are a beginner, I was advanced). I had a really good experience in Spain however, so I'd say it's about getting informations and knowing what's best for you.

Wonderful school, amazing staff, great teaching methods, awesome memories. 5 stars by far!

Tutor House

Tutor House, 4th Floor Office, 4 Percy Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T 1DF, UK – 020 7612 8297

Our son Andrew was struggling with his PE A Level, he got a E in his PE AS exam. His school advised us not to let him retake the exam. I contacted Alex Dwyer from Tutor House who said different. Thankfully we took Alex's advice and Andrew gained a grade A in his retake. Alex was fantastic. Andrew had a good knowledge of the subject but couldn't answer the questions. He was also lacking in confidence, Alex's friendly, calming manner made Andrew realise that he could do it. The tutor lessons were tailored to Andrew's needs, they were structured, homework was set and Alex was easily reached if Andrew had any further questions. There is no doubt that without Alex's help our son would not of gained entry into his first choice of university of Reading to do Building Surveying. Andrew is loving university and excelling in confidence. Mr and Mrs J Mills

Lingua Clinic - Private Spanish Tutor in London

88 Wood St, London EC2V 7RS, UK – 020 7148 0320

I very much enjoy my Spanish lessons with Antonio who has managed to take me from zero to being able to hold a steady conversation in one year. I have found the mix of structured lessons and conversation to be very beneficial to my learning and I would highly recommend a one-to-one class with Lingua Clinic. I have found my lessons to be good value for money, extremely fulfilling and very enjoyable.

Antonio is a fun, clear and positive teacher who conducts his classes in a professional and structured manner. I have been learning with Antonio close to two years and the reason I have stayed with him is the trust, detail and flexibility he gives to my busy freelance schedule. An authentic Spanish speaker, he also gives details as to what differences there are in Spanish to different countries in South America and Spain; a very handy tool for me wanting to know the distinction. Highly recommended for any levels of Spanish!
